“Noninvasive Brain-Computer Interfaces for Augmentative and Alternative Communication”

Abstract: Noninvasive brain-computer interface (BCI) techniques aim to provide link between an individual’s brain activity and communication device control. This seminar will provide an overview of noninvasive brain-computer interfaces methods, along with factors influencing BCI outcomes and directions for the clinical translation.

Bio: Kevin Pitt, PhD., CCC-SLP is an assistant professor in the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and director of the Augmentative and Alternative Communication Translation Laboratory.
