For 29 years, we have enjoyed connecting with our ever-growing audience to promote the life and dreams of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by promoting positive youth action. However, given the inclement and pending weather, the Planning Committee, in consultation with various entities instrumental to our planned facilitation, made the difficult decision to make the following adjustments related to Monday’s annual experience.
This was not an easy decision to make — knowing the Planning Committee and stakeholders have made significant investments in this incredibly unique celebration and that the community looks forward to the rally every year — but we need to prioritize the health and safety of the committee, partners, employees, and auxiliary support staff who help make the Rally possible. It is important to us to host an inclusive event, and it simply doesn’t feel right having a partial event with planning committee members and attendees from Lincoln and surrounding areas unable to be in attendance.

Friday, January 19, 2024, the 29th annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Youth Rally Call to Action will be live-streamed from 1:30-2:30 p.m. This program will be abbreviated to encourage and promote viewing by schools and youth and adult organizations.
