Difference between bees and wasps; difference between solitary and social bees and wasps; specific types of each which include honey bees, bumble bees, paper wasps, yellow jackets, and then solitary species (cicada killer, mud dauber, velvet ant); each of these will include a description, identification tips, nest types, life cycle, sting risks, and management if necessary; sting symptoms and treatment, general bee and wasp management strategies. We will leave time for a lab to examine specimens of stinging insects as well as walk around the building to spot the wasp nests.
