Newspapers are an important source of information for genealogists and family historians. The Library of Congress is working to integrate its historical newspaper content with its other digitized holdings, all free to the public. Traditionally found in a separate interface (chroniclingamerica.loc.gov), newspaper pages can now be searched along with other materials across the Library’s collection at loc.gov. Nebraska Digital Newspaper Project PI Laura Weakly will record a presentation on these changes and how to find information about your ancestors using this new interface at Genealogy over Lunch, on April 18 at 11:30 a.m. (CT). Chad Koch, newspaper associate on the NDNP grant, will be present to answer any questions.
