This Friday the UNL chapter of the Rhetoric Society of America will launch the RSA Symposium. It’s our goal to use this space to embrace the concept of a symposium and allow us to engage in a spirited dialogue about all things rhetoric.
We are excited to have Zachary Beare, Robert Lipscomb, and Marcus Meade scheduled to present their projects at our first event:
Robert Lipscomb will present his piece “The Exceptional State of Sex Offender Registries,” which was recently featured on the new Watershed Blog;
Zachary Beare and Marcus Meade will co-present “The Most Important Project of Our Time!’: Hyperbole as a Discourse Feature of Student Writing,” which was recently accepted for publication in College Composition and Communication.
We hope you will join us this Friday, September 26 at 4 p.m. in the Bailey Library (second floor, Andrews Hall) to support our colleagues and help kick off this new space.
