UNL Creative Writing alum Ava Nathaniel Winter will read from their poetry collection “Transgenesis,” a winner of the National Poetry Series. An excavatory collection of poems tracing the connections between Jewish transfemininity, queer desire and cultural histories, “Transgenesis” is a scrupulous chronicle of individual and cultural knowledge. Winter challenges our concepts of the beautiful and the sacred, delving not only into the historically marginalized, but the chilling subconscious of supremacy.
