This two-part workshop and panel discussion will draw on national “thought leaders” to introduce emerging challenges in the food system and to initiate a discussion of opportunities for Cooperative Extension to be an important participant in this issue. This workshop is sponsored by the North Central Agriculture and Program Leaders for Cooperative Extension.

The workshop and panel discussion will be delivered through the web making it possible for all Extension faculty, staff, and administrators to participate.

The target audience for this program is all Extension faculty, staff, and administrators. The planned agenda will address the Challenge of Feeding 9 Billion People from perspectives of those with interests in agriculture, natural resources, consumers, and youth and workforce development. We hope all faculty and staff contributing to our Cooperative Extension system will recognize that this issue may influence many aspects of our Extension educational efforts.
