“Making History,” an exhibition that showcases the work of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s School of Art, Art History & Design’s “Making History” ceramics class, continues in the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery (Richards Hall) through December 3rd.

A First Friday closing reception will be held on Friday, Dec. 1 from 5-7 p.m. in the gallery.

This class, composed of graduate students and upper level undergraduates in the School of Art, Art History & Design’s ceramics program, studied the history of ceramic art by not only researching, but also recreating historical ceramic objects.

The goal for this exhibition is to create a physical space in which one can explore the relationships of objects across time periods and cultures, from the 6th millennium B.C.E. up to the early 20th century, including objects from Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. Students have provided contextual information about each of the objects represented in the exhibition.

Participating in the exhibition are the following students:

Graduate students:
Neil Celani
Katherine Cox
Patrick Hargraves
Wansoo Kim
Patrick Kingshill
Iren Tete

Undergraduate students:
Brandon Cain
Kyle Cippera
Austin Coudriet
Madelyne Hansen
Megan Harrell
Connor Harter
Katherine Kramer
Audrey Jurek
Sarah Loeffler
Keli Wheeler

Admission to the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 12:30-4:30 p.m.
