Sarah McEneaney will lead a painting discussion at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 21 in Richards Hall, Room 15.

The talk, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the School of Art, Art History & Design.

Sarah McEneaney paints autobiographical interiors, landscapes and cityscapes. Her paintings, drawings and prints are in many public collections including The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Woodmere Art Museum, The Neuberger Museum S.U.N.Y. Purchase, Rhode Island School of Design, Mills College Museum of Art, The Hood Museum at Dartmouth College, Johnson and Johnson and Microsoft Corporation. Awards received by McEneaney include an Anonymous Was a Woman Grant, a Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant, a Pew Fellowship in the Arts and residencies at Ballinglen Arts Centre, The Joan Mitchell Center, Chinati Foundation, Fundacion Valparaiso, MacDowell Colony and Yaddo. Sarah McEneaney lives and works in Philadelphia.

The Hixson-Lied Visiting Artist & Scholar Lecture Series is underwritten by the Hixson-Lied Endowment, with additional support from other sources. The program brings notable artists, scholars and designers to the University of Nebraska; enhancing the education of our students and enriching the culture of the state by providing a way for the public to interact with luminaries in the fields of art, art history and design.
