Please join us next Monday as we bring you the next presentation in the Plant Pathology Spring 2024 seminar series. Dr. Réka Howard will be presenting “What is SC3L and How to Integrate Multiple Data Types?”. We will meet next Monday, February 19 in-person in Keim 264 and online via Zoom.

Dr. Howard is an Associate Professor and the Director of Consulting in the Department of Statistics at UNL. She received her co-PhD from Iowa State University in Statistics and Plant Breeding. Dr. Howard became the Director of Consulting last year in the Department of Statistics, and she oversees the work of three consultants and four consulting students on various projects. Dr. Howard’s research program outside of consulting focuses on statistical model development for genomic prediction, and the application of statistical methods in various fields, especially in plant breeding. Her recent work focuses on the optimization of statistical methods for genomic prediction, machine learning techniques and multi-type data integration for genomic prediction. She mainly teaches courses in the areas of statistical consulting and design of experiments.
