Join us as the College of Law launches its 2017-2018 Women’s Leadership Initiative! This event will bring together women in law, business, government and philanthropy for networking and a keynote by Dr. Marilyn Moore, the former associate superintendent for Lincoln Public Schools and most recently the president of BryanLGH College of Health Sciences. Here’s what she says about the talk that she’ll deliver, “The Connectedness of Things:”

“What I’ve learned from chaos science: In leadership, it’s all about connections. Not the “who you know” connections, although those can be important and helpful, but the connections of belief and action, mission and work, and new learning with what we already know. The connections with others in and outside the organization, connections with what has gone on before and what will happen in the future, and connections with those persons, practices, and ideals that sustain us. And, it helps to be surrounded by a really great team…”

Networking begins at 4:00 p.m. with Dr. Moore’s talk beginning at 5 p.m. Come early to meet some of the most influential women in law, business, government, and philanthropy and then stay to learn from Dr. Moore.
