This program will provide lawyers with a first-hand and personal account of challenges that impact the practice of law and their immigrant clients. Jose Antonio Vargas, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Emmy-nominated filmmaker, and leading voice for the human and civil rights of immigrants, will discuss the representation of immigrant clients, including those clients who are undocumented, in their everyday lives and in various legal areas.
Mindy M. Rush Chipman, Director of Equity and Diversity for the City of Lincoln and Chair of the immigration Law Section, will be available for questions during and after the program.
**** This webcast is a re-broadcast of Jose Antonio Vargas’s presentation on April 17, 2019 in Lincoln for the 201 Civil Rights Conference sponsored by the Lincoln Commission on Human Rights.
