A majority-Native panel of experts from the legal and law enforcement communities, moderated by Interim Dean Anna Shavers, will convene to discuss ways that the legal and criminal justice system can address violence against Native women, and the many missing and murdered indigenous women and girls in Nebraska. Panelists: Colonel John Bolduc, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol; Leonika Charging, Attorney at Bigfire Law Firm; Judi Gaiashkibos, Executive Director of Nebraska Commission on Indian Affairs (NCIA). Moderators: Anna Shavers, Acting Dean of the Nebraska College of Law; Kirby Williams, Domestic Violence Outreach Coordinator at Legal Aid of Nebraska.
