Jim Silbermann of the USPTO Office of Enrollment and Discipline will visit Nebraska Law. He is visiting the Law College to conduct a site visit of the Weibling Entrepreneurship Clinic as part of its participation in the USPTO Law Clinic Certification Program for Trademark.

As a staff attorney in the Office of Enrollment & Discipline, Silbermann focuses on enrollment and discipline matters and also supervises the USPTO Law School Clinical Certification Program. He began his professional career as a patent examiner with the USPTO, and previously worked at the law firms of Dickstein Shapiro Morin & Oshinsky LLP and Foley & Lardner LLP in Washington, D.C., where he specialized in intellectual property acquisitions, client consultation, patent litigation and patent prosecution.

Silbermann will be available to meet with students interested in intellectual property or other related fields (including Sports, Entertainment and Business Law members) from 4:30-5:00 PM in the Anderson Collaboration Space in the Schmid Clinic Building. Silbermann will be available to discuss employment opportunities and career paths at the USPTO and other topics of interest. Refreshments will be provided.
