We are looking forward to you joining Associate Dean Anna Shavers and me for the Zoom Town Hall Meeting entitled “Developing Inclusive Leaders - Diversity and Inclusion in the College of Law: Student Perspectives: How are we Doing?” The Town Hall will be held on Wednesday, April 14th, from 5pm- 6pm. Everyone in the law college community is invited and encouraged to attend.

We will be facilitating a dialogue on inclusion and two of our core Values: “Build Community” and “Value Diversity”.

We will use the responses to the recent anonymous student survey and faculty discussions held with some students who shared their experiences regarding issues of inclusion. We want to listen and invite all students to share their opinions on recurring experiences around issues of inclusion and equity.

Participants will also get the opportunity to share concerns regarding diversity and inclusion that they want the law college faculty and administration to address. After some preliminary remarks, we will each be assigned to a Breakout Session hosted by a student and a faculty member.

The prompt for the Breakout Sessions: In your opinion, what are the 3 biggest issues we need to tackle first in order to build an inclusive community? We hope that this will generate some discussion and suggestions regarding what actions need to be taken at the Law College.

Our intention is to use your input to continue to develop an action-based perspective, so we can create an inclusive space for everyone.
