Join practicing attorneys and career development experts to learn about making the most of your summer experience and developing key professional skills. Whether you will be clerking for a firm, working for a government agency, volunteering for a nonprofit, or earning class credits through an externship, your 1L summer represents the first opportunity to put your newly acquired legal skills to the test. In addition to traditional legal research and writing, there are other professional skills that have been identified as integral to lawyer success. Using advice from supervising attorneys as well as the newly released Professional Skills Guide, you will be well prepared to make the most of your summer experience following this program.

Lunch will be provided. There is no need to rsvp as we will be expecting you all! If for some reason you have an unavoidable conflict, please notify Meghan Rivera at lawcareer@unl.edu.
