Can a robot enter a contract? Can it do so on my behalf? If the robot was trained by Amazon or OpenAI, are they on the hook? Whose intent matters? Professor Weitzel will discuss contracting by artificial intelligence, analyzing it through agency law and corporate law theories. He’ll also provide a high-level overview of how artificial intelligence systems work, and why the creation process may shape liability for a meeting of mechanical minds.
