If Shakespeare’s First Folio had never been published, twenty of his plays might have been lost forever and we would have a very different idea of him as a literary and dramatic artist. How did the Folio come into existence? Why does it remain such an important text and object? As part of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s exhibit and celebration of “Shakespeare and His World” during April, Dr. Buhler will take us through the fascinating story of the book’s creation, reputation, and ongoing impact.
