Registration is open for the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Libraries fifth annual Family History Day, with the theme “Breaking Brick Walls.” The Family History Day is free and open to the public. Seating is limited so registration is required at: https://go.unl.edu/familyhistory.

Family History Day starts at 8:30 am with a session for people new to searching their family history. Other topics presented in the day-long program include sessions on tax records, cemetery records and two case studies, one involving how to search through common names, and the other on the Missouri River steamboat captains and crew members.

We welcome people attending the entire day or specific sessions. Participants can bring a lunch or purchase lunch at a nearby restaurant. Free parking will be available in the A and F3 lots north of the Mueller Tower and east of Memorial Stadium. https://maps.unl.edu/#parking/29. A full program and registration information is available at https://go.unl.edu/familyhistory. Contact Regina Flowers, rflowers3@unl.edu, with questions about registration.

For questions about accessibility or to request reasonable accommodations for this event, please contact Donna Carstens in the Libraries Dean’s Office at 402-472-2526 or dcarstens1@unl.edu. Two weeks’ notice is preferred for most requests.
