The Emeritus Faculty Fund was established by the Department of Mathematics around 1990 to support fellowships for graduate students and simultaneously honor our Emeritus Faculty. Donations can be made to honor a particular emeritus faculty member, or in honor of all of them. When cumulative donations in the name of a particular faculty member reach a certain level, an annual graduate fellowship is established in his or her name. Currently, we have named fellowships in honor of Lloyd Jackson and William Leavitt. Additional (unnamed) Emeritus Faculty Fellowships are also awarded each year from this fund. Since the fund was established, 128 have received an Emeritus Faculty Fellowship.
