Darryl White, trumpet, will give a recital on Saturday, Sept 24 at 2:00 pm in the Sheldon Museum of Art in the Ethel S. Abbott Auditorium.
Co-sponsorship: Sheldon Museum of Art in conjunction with the exhibition, The Harmon and Harriet Kelley Collection of African American Art: Works on Paper.
Joining Darryl White will be Hans Sturm, bass, former Blue Note recording artist Jackie Allen, vocals, and Tom Larson, piano.
The jazz repertoire will include Sweet and Slow by Harry Warren, Too Hot for Words by Teddy Wilson, Weather Bird by Louis Armstrong, Pannonica by Thelonious Monk, In a Sentimental Mood by Duke Ellington, and St. Louis Blues by W.C. Handy.
This event is FREE and open to the public.
