Soprano Jamie Reimer and pianist Michael Cotton present a recital of American art songs on Thursday, September 19. The repertoire explores the rich harmonies and lyrical vocal lines of the late 19th century through the middle 20th century, and includes works by Ernst Bacon, Amy Marcy Cheney Beach, and John Duke. Audiences will also hear the American premiere of Robert Owens’ 4 Sonnets to Duse, written in 2012 for Jamie Reimer to the poetry of Sara Teasdale.
