Open to teachers of all grade levels, this institute will explore civic engagement for teachers through literature, rhetorical action, and civic partnerships. Participants will earn 3 UNL graduate credits in English or Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Education.
Institute activities include: writing about/from civic issues, reading and discussion of civic engagement texts in several genres, tour of state legislative process with active state senators, development and sharing of civic engagement teaching.
