Join us at the Nebraska Bluegrass Concert Series for live music in the plaza at Nebraska Innovation Campus! Concerts are free and open to the public. Come eat, drink & have fun!
Food/drink available for purchase @ 5:00 p.m. Tours of Nebraska Innovation Studio, the makerspace located at NIC, will be offered @ 5:30 p.m. Concerts @ 6:00 p.m. There will be some seating but guests are highly encouraged to bring their own lawn chair. Our concerts will not be rescheduled if there is bad weather. Instead, we will move inside to The Mill Coffee & Bistro.
Fall 2023 Line Up: September 6 - The Cleverlys with The McGovern Stringband. September 13 - John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band with The Wildwoods. September 20 - Appalachian Road Show with The Shucks Brothers.
John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band is an all-star bluegrass supergroup featuring four legendary, award-winning musicians – John Jorgenson on acoustic guitar, mandolin and vocals; Herb Pedersen on banjo, acoustic guitar and vocals; Mark Fain on bass; and Patrick Sauber on acoustic guitar and vocals – delivering bluegrass like no one has ever heard it before. The four combine forces to form a spot-on union of impeccable musicianship, incomparable songwriting, incredible harmony vocals (a fresh twist combining bluegrass with elements of West Coast folk rock) and seasoned showmanship. This is the “high lonesome sound” of American roots music at its finest.
The Wildwoods are an enchanting Folk/Americana trio based in Lincoln, Nebraska, whose flowing songwriting tandem has been praised by Paste Magazine as “focused and charmingly human”. The Wildwoods’ delicate melodies and descriptive lyrics come from nature, love, experiences from the road, and growing up in Nebraska.
