Make a standard size pillowcase and learn basic sewing skills, plus learn how to use a serger.
Ages: 10 & up
Cost: $5.00
Bring: 7/8’s yard for the body of the pillowcase (Fabric A), ½ yard for the cuff (Fabric B), 1/8 yard for the trim band (Fabric C). See pillowcase diagram.
Required Sewing Tools: Matching thread, pins, seam ripper, and scissors. Preshrink your fabrics by washing them in washing machine and drying in dryer. Remove from dryer, straighten and press. 4-H members can use the 4-H Council sewing machines.
