Speaker: Flera Rizatdinova, Oklahoma State University
Prof. Rizatdinova will discuss the journey of particle physicists, who are trying to discover what the fundamental building blocks of the Universe are and how they interact with each other. Recent results from the ATLAS experiment at CERN’s Large hadron Collider on the Higgs boson discovery and searches for new physics will be highlighted. She will give an overview of her own research in the ATLAS experiment and describe the role of some female scientists in particle physics.
