Instructor: John Nocoletti, Ph.D., ABPP, Board Certified Specialist in Police and Public Safety Psychology.

Focus: Youth and Adults. This 6.5-hour workshop will present guidelines for differentiating between mental health and substance abuse evaluations, wellness checks, fitness for duty, suicide and threat/risk management and techniques for matching the three areas of responsibility for behavioral health professionals in conducting threat assessment. Participants will identify how to balance duty to warn and protect and how to decrease the desire to engage in attack behavior. Documentation and due diligence paper trails will be featured.

Objective: to prepare mental health and substance abuse professionals to assess, manage, and respond to individuals who present with threatening behaviors.

Who Should Attend: Behavioral Health Professionals - Social Work, Mental Health, SUD, Case Management, Mobile Crisis Response, and Educators.
