The Community Crops Family Service Lincoln is a non-profit organization that provides education, advocacy and experiences to grow local food. Community Crops is offering the following FREE Urban Grower Class this summer:
July 22nd, 9am – 11am (Central) at Southern Heights Food Forest: Growing Fruits, Nuts, and Berries in Nebraska
This class will explore how to grow your own fruit, nuts, and berries in a sustainable way. We’ll cover the basics of establishing and tending agroforestry spaces through an ecological lens with expert land steward, Molly Phemister of the Southern Heights Food Forest. This class will include a tour of the Southern Heights Food Forest so that participants can see agroforestry in action.
