Featured Speakers: Melissa Farley and Leah Jonet Albright-Byrd

Melissay Farley is a research and clinical psychologist at Prostitution Research & Education, www.prostitutionresearch.com, a resource for scholars, policymakers, survivors of prostitution, and advocates. Farley has 49 publications in the field of violence against women, of which 33 peer-reviewed articles focus on prostitution, pornography, and sex trafficking.

Leah Jonet Albright-Byrd is an inspiring activist, artist, and author who is known for her exceptional gift of story-telling. Leah first discovered the power of that gift when she founded the pioneering organization, Bridget’s Dream, in 2011 to bring hope, help, and healing to child and adult survivors of human trafficking. She served as the Executive Director for five years, became a national spokesperson in the fight against human trafficking, promoted legislative changes, and appeared on multiple television and radio shows to educate the public.
