Prairie Pines Second Saturday Christmas at the Pines: 1 PM – 4 PM, 3100 N. 112th Street. Join in an event to recall Prairie Pines’ beginnings as a Christmas Tree Farm! If you created a decorator box at the November Second Saturday, return and fill it for free with Prairie Pines evergreen, pinecones, and more! Children can create a Christmas ornament or bird feeder from objects in nature. Have a cup of warm cider and wander the Prairie Pines trails, open from 8 AM - 5 PM. The kid’s Nature Ninja course for kid’s is open too. Children must be accompanied by adults. This event is sponsored by the Prairie Pines Partners and the Nebraska Forest Service. Partial funding for Second Saturdays was provided by the Nebraska Environmental Trust and the Nebraska Academy of Science.
