The IANR Office of Global Engagement will be joined virtually by Mr. Bobby Richey, the Minister Counselor for Agricultural Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, China. Bobby joined Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) at the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 1986, and has since worked multiple roles in countries around the world. He has worked on a breadth of issues ranging from international food and health regulations to global food security. During this seminar, Bobby will share about his career journey in FAS and opportunities for students interested in foreign agriculture careers. In addition, he will also share his first-hand experience being in Beijing since January 2020, during the initial COVID-19 outbreak in China.
