More than 30% of Husker students will face food insecurity and hunger at some point in the coming year. During the pandemic, the need is the highest it’s ever been.
Help the Husker Pantry collect 2,021 items during the ten-day Spring Food Drive to build up its reserve inventory, so Huskers have uninterrupted service for the entire summer. On average, the pantry distributes 6,000 items to students each month during the summer. There is a special need for personal hygiene items, particularly shampoo, hair conditioner, body wash, and bar soap.
TWO WAYS TO DONATE:
• Purchase online via the Pantry’s Amazon Marketplace wishlist at https://go.unl.edu/amazon. Items are shipped and delivered directly to the pantry location in the University Health Center.
• Drop off locally-purchased items at one of 18 collection bins located on City and East Campuses. Find a location: https://pantry.unl.edu/#donate
