Los Angeles–based artist Christina Fernandez, whose photograph “Lavanderia #1”
[“Laundromat #1”] is on view in the exhibition “A Decade of Collecting Works on Paper, 2012–
2022,” will speak about her art and exploration of issues related to migration, labor, gender,
her Mexican American identity, and the capacities of photography itself.
Laura Muñoz is an assistant professor of history and ethnic studies at the University of
Nebraska–Lincoln.
