Prerequisite: This training is only for staff who currently work with a teacher/SLP who has completed the 3 Day, Intensive Teaching of Verbal Behavior, and is using the programming with student(s).
Objectives: Participants will learn important behavioral teaching principles including what is verbal behavior, discrete trial training, reinforcement, pairing, prompting and shaping. Participants will learn the verbal operants. Participants will learn how to use errorless teaching techniques and error correction to help improve skill acquisition. Participants will receive hands-on instruction and practice on errorless teaching and error correction using the card sort system.
