In the days leading up to Mother’s Day, construction crews of female volunteers will be pounding nails and raising walls at Habitat for Humanity construction sites across the country in recognition of National Women Build Week, May 1-9. Lowes and Lincoln/Lancaster County Habitat for Humanity are looking for local volunteers to work one day on a Lincoln Habitat site during the event. Experience is not necessary. Before helping at the actual home site, volunteers will train in Habitat’s wall shop and warehouse.

I’ve talked to Habitat for Humanity and told them I would like to try to get together a team from CEHS. They are thrilled we may be able to contribute to this local event. This is an equal opportunity event and both women and men are welcome on Team CEHS!
