Each year we have a shared opportunity to make the world a better place through the Combined Campaign. Your gift to any of the charities represented by United Way, Community Health Charities or Community Services Fund will make a difference in the security and quality of life for many others who need our help.
This year, the UNL Combined Campaign is going green. You have the opportunity to make a pledge electronically. Volunteers are still available in your department as a resource of information and help as we conduct the campaign from November 1-19 (check with Phyllis Fogerty if you need to know who your department/center volunteer is).
Our goal this year of $430,000 is a 3 percent increase over last year. We are confident we can reach the goal and that we can return to the #1 spot as the top public sector campaign.
This year the Nebraska Alumni Association and the University of Nebraska Foundation staff members are joining UNL in the Combined Campaign. For those who live and work in offices outside of Lincoln and Lancaster County, their donations will go to their local area to provide a local impact. In other words, for a Foundation staff member who works in Kearney, their dollars will go to the Kearney area to support their designated interests.
Our recent graduation speaker and CEO of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Jeff Raikes, got it right when he said, “Nebraska can change the world.” This year, your role in doing just that is easier thanever - visit our website:
