In honor of receiving an award from the Truman Foundation, UNL is welcoming back to campus alumni who were recipients or finalists for the Truman Scholarship. Additionally we are bringing back winners of the Marshall, Goldwater, and Fulbright scholarships. These alumni will conduct a day of workshops for current UNL students about preparing for such awards. This is an unprecedented opportunity for our current UNL students, faculty and staff that may wish to learn more about these extraordinary people and the awards that they have won.
Students, faculty, and graduate students who teach undergraduates in CEHS are encouraged to attend the day-long workshops offered by our alumni. Emily Snodgrass is an alum of CEHS. She is currently working with Teach for America, and will be speaking about that opportunity.
Because these workshops are scheduled for a day on which classes are held, it is perfectly fine for students to come and go as their schedule permits.
