My name is Ellen Saliares, and I work with NAMI-NE (the Nat’l Alliance on Mental Illness). Our organization, along with a number of other organizations, is having a Step Up for Kids rally October 11 at the Capitol. The event is from 3-4 p.m. on the north steps. Several speakers, including Tom Osborne, will be talking about the importance of children’s services, and the necessity of funding and support for these services, especially in this time of financial uncertainty. Because of your involvement with children’s issues, we would love it if you attended.
