Want to help promote literacy? The Kit and Dick Schmoker Reading Center is proud to present their second annual Family Literacy Night Celebration on Wednesday, October 19th, from 4:00-7:00 PM. This event will feature different activities for both children and parents of the Reading Center.

Approximately 40 families are anticipated to attend the event and we would welcome volunteers. Perhaps you, or your students, would be interested in helping with this Family Literacy Night. The event will be held at the Schmoker Reading Center on East Campus in the Home Economics Building. Volunteer needs range from helping families find their way around the Reading Center, to hosting literacy activity stations for children, to assisting with set-up and take-down, and serving snacks.
