This year, the UNL Research Fair will occur twice: once in the fall and once in the spring. The fall fair will focus on faculty, including recognition of research achievements and visits from program officers and other research sponsors. The spring fair will focus on students and will include the Graduate Student Poster Session and the Undergraduate Research Conference.

The fall UNL Research Fair will be held November 2-3, 2011, please save these dates.

The Research Office is requesting information for the next Major Sponsored Programs and Faculty Awards booklet. Their goal is to recognize as many of these major faculty accomplishments as possible.

Since the faculty recognition portion of the fair is now a fall event, they have changed the timeframe for the booklet entries from a calendar to a fiscal year basis. Therefore, they have the published books, recognitions and creative works they received last spring that fell between July 1 and Dec. 31, 2010, and ask that you add any additional books, recognitions or creative works faculty received Jan. 1 – June 30, 2011.

Faculty should submit information via the Research Fair website, http://researchfair.unl.edu. Select Submit Your Successes on the top navigation bar to choose from these categories:

• Published books (either published or copyrighted July 1, 2010 – June 30, 2011). These books will be on display at the Faculty Recognition Breakfast on November 2. (http://researchfair.unl.edu/books.php)

• Nationally and Internationally Competitive Honors and Recognitions (received July 1, 2010 – June 30, 2011) (http://researchfair.unl.edu/recognitions.php)

• Creative Activity (exhibited or performed nationally or internationally July 1, 2010 – June 30, 2011) (http://researchfair.unl.edu/creativeWorks.php)

Showcasing these successes is important! Once again, the fall UNL Research Fair will be held November 2-3, 2011. Please mark your calendars now. If you have any questions about this request or the UNL Research Fair, please contact Elizabeth Banset, 472-7003, ebanset1@unl.edu. Thank you.
