The Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools welcomes you to join us for an informal conversation with Oreus Jr. Pierre (“Junior”), a community leader and education liaison from the La Montagne region of Haiti. Taking place Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 4-5 p.m. in 242 Mabel Lee Hall, this unique opportunity will offer the chance to hear firsthand accounts about education in Haiti – along with local efforts to empower La Montagne’s children by supporting educational improvements there.

We also invite you to enjoy a glimpse into Haiti’s cultural heritage at a Nov. 7 performance by Compagnie de Danse Jean-Rene Delsoin, a dynamic dance troupe from Petion-Ville, Haiti.
