Dr. Lutfi Abu-Elheiga is the next Nebraska Gateway to Nutrigenomics Seminar Series speaker and will present his talk entitled, “A New Mechanism for Treating Obesity: Targeting a Master Regulator for Lipid Synthesis by a Small Molecule” at noon on Wednesday, April 3rd at the Nebraska East Union in the Sunflower Room.
Dr. Abu-Elheiga’s research Interests focus on the hormonal and dietary regulation of fatty acid metabolism in diseases and adverse health conditions, particularly the contemporary epidemic of obesity and related complications such as diabetes.
