On July 25, a research consortium led by Dr. Karsten Koehler will host a research symposium entitled “Understanding the Effect of Exercise on Future Food Intake: The Role of Behavioral, Physiological, and Neural Mechanisms” at the Truhlsen Campus Event Center at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

The symposium, which is funded through the University of Nebraska Food for Health Initiative, serves as kick-off for a new transdisciplinary research initiative addressing the effects of exercise on decision making about future food intake and underlying physiological and genetic mechanisms.

Keynote speakers include John Blundell (University of Leeds, UK), Brian Wansink (Cornell University), Elizabeth Lawson (Harvard Medical School), and Nicole Guiliani (University of Oregon).

The half-day symposium is open to the public, but advance registration is required at http://cehs.unl.edu/nhs/research-symposium-registration/
