Merrick County Extension is presenting a fascinating hands-on 40 minute session (or 20 minute session shared with another presenter) geared towards, and for, 6th grade students. This is part of the 4th annual Merrick County Youth Ag Showcase. It will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the Merrick County Fairgrounds near Central City. Our focus again this year is on agriculture as a safe source of food, fuel and fiber. We will be tying in careers, business, environment and economics as ways to incorporate Nebraska agriculture into this day long ag-literacy program.
