Are you a student who is curious about counseling and if it’s the right next step for you? Maybe you are concerned about someone else? Do you just want an additional perspective about something you’ve been thinking about?
“Let’s Talk” provides students easy access to brief, informal, and confidential consultations with professional mental health providers from CAPS. There is no fee for UNL students. This time is reserved specifically for students who are military and veterans.
“Let’s Talk” is a brief, informal consultation and is not appropriate for addressing crisis situations. If you are in immediate crisis or experiencing significant distress during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.), please contact CAPS at (402) 472-7450 and ask to schedule a Crisis Care Appointment. If it is after business hours, please call (402) 472-7450 and Press 4 to speak to the on-call counselor. Always remember that if you are in imminent danger to yourself or others, please call 911.
