Are Twitter, Facebook, and texting eroding our students’ abilities as readers and writers? Andrea Lunsford says no. We invite you to hear Dr. Lunsford present findings garnered from a landmark longitudinal study of students’ writing practices in and beyond college. This study has received national press coverage in numerous media outlets, including The New Yorker and The Chronicle of Higher Education. Notably, Lunsford finds that new media are not compromising, but are dramatically changing—and even increasing—students’ literacy practices. Please join us for Dr. Lunsford’s talk about writing and reading in the digital age.
