Adam Kotsko is Assistant Professor of Humanities at Shimer College (Chicago). He is a theologian and religious scholar with a strong focus on the problem of political theology. He is the author of five books, which include titles like Creepiness (2015), Why We Love Sociopaths: A Guide to Late Capitalist Television (2012), and Awkwardness (2010). As a highly regarded translator, Kotsko is responsible for introducing many works by celebrated Italian theorist Giorgio Agamben to English-speaking audiences (all published by Stanford University Press). He is also a noted interpreter of the works of Slavoj Žižek. Finally, he is also an avid blogger and a contributor to the well-known blogging collective called An und für sich (http://itself.wordpress.com).

His talk is entitled The Prince of this World: The Devil and Political Theology and is part of a new book project on which he’s currently working.
