This event will be structured in two parts. This first portion, a panel, will expose students to different perspectives (from current English graduate chair and current graduate students) about how to determine whether or not graduate school is a right fit personally and professionally. The second part of the program involves a writing workshop led by the UNL Writing Center where students will have the opportunity to begin considering their research goals, career goals, and other factors that must be considered before applying to a graduate program.
