Grant Faulkner, executive director of National Novel Writing Month, will talk via Skype to students of creative writing about National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo - http://nanowrimo.org/), a program committed to motivating authors toward starting and completing their own 50,000-word novels in one month—specifically, the month of November. On the heels of this year’s national launch, Faulkner will talk to us about the plans for NaNoWriMo 2016. Also, learn how you can be part of UNL English/Creative Writing’s own NaNoWriMo sessions, open to UNL undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty and staff.

Faulkner will also talk about his work as a writer and editor; he’s the author of Fissures, a collection of one hundred 100-word stories, the co-founder of the lit journal 100 Word Story (http://www.100wordstory.org/), and co-founder of the Flash Fiction Collective.
