The Bluebarn Theatre presents “I and You” by Lauren Gunderson, with Thursday through Sunday performances running from January 31 to February 24, 2019. The play joins a series of events across the country that are celebrating the 200th anniversary of Whitman’s birth, and incorporates notes from the Walt Whitman Archive.
On February 10, join us for Louder than a Bomb: Songs of Ourselves” us at 6:30pm. Nebraska Writer’s Collective will present spoken word poets from their Louder Than a Bomb program in celebration of poetry, theater, Walt Whitman and young writers.
ABOUT I AND YOU
One afternoon, Anthony arrives unexpectedly at classmate Caroline’s door bearing a beat-up copy of Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass, and an urgent assignment from their English teacher. As these two let down their guards and share their secrets, they unlock a much deeper mystery that has brought them together. I and You is an ode to youth, life, love, and the strange beauty of human connectedness.
